Can anyone who has used this and VPN unlimited comment on the speed? I mainly use VPN to watch geo-restricted shows using apps from India, currently using VPN unlimited which is kind of OK for my need but HD content suffers so I'm thinking of this one if the speed is better.

So is port forwarding a guaranteed feature coming soon? and how many devices can be connected on one account?

Current beta is for phones only, the TV version will have a slightly different interface, which is TV oriented. It will be released shortly after the phone version is released.
We already have it in beta. You can get into the beta in our Discord channel. Will be released publicly in a couple of weeks. We don't limit parallel connections, use it on all your devices.anotherwave wrote: ↑So is port forwarding a guaranteed feature coming soon? and how many devices can be connected on one account?

Are you able to port forward several ports at the same time?yegorpb wrote: ↑ Current beta is for phones only, the TV version will have a slightly different interface, which is TV oriented. It will be released shortly after the phone version is released.

Not to jinx it, but we had it working non-stop since last November. We have a bespoke solution for Netflix, while all other providers simply buy residential IPs and dump thousands of people on them. It works for a bit, but they consonantly have to change Ips to keep it working. Our solution does not require this.
That was a limited time promo, never to return. Stacksocial deals will be discontinued at the end of the year.skoalman123 wrote: ↑Good VPN, Bad price! I Got 3 years for $12 through stacksocial!
Yes, each static IP comes with 10 port of your choice. You can change them whenever.

do you have to pay more to get a static ip in order to get port forwarding features

Yeah, Static IPs will cost ~$1/month for data-center IP, and more for residential.
That being said, we do have plans to introduce ephemeral port forwarding on ANY server, which will be free. I have no ETA on when that will be done.

So I'm just starting to research VPNs and learning. I have a couple of Android boxes to protect. I'm assuming I can use the Android app on each box. Or is it better to use Open VPN?
Is something like Windscribe at 12 a year as good as say Nord or Ip Vanish or the other much more costly services?
Thx

Yes, you run it on each box, or you can run it on a router.
IPVanish has a fake no-logging policy: https://torrentfreak.com/ipvanish-no-lo ... er-180505/
Nord had some recent drama about them allegedly being owned by a data mining company, you can google that if you want.

It’s tricky to deal with speed issues as there are so many variables. I have used VPN Unlimited quite a bit on a variety of devices. I have also used Windscibe on similar devices. Since I do not have the pro version of Windscribe I don’t know if that would increase speeds or not. My general impression is that both providers are similar in terms of speed when going to similar locations. I am referring to using it for streaming videos. VPN Unlimited would handle HD (720p) ok, but it had trouble with HDR.
It may be that using them on a computer would improve results.

That’s an interesting thought. The current lifetime promos for Windscribe seem to be around $63-$69 US. They supposedly end in 4 days.
Prices for VPN providers will be under strain as (1) torrent usage decreases, (2) Kodi usage decreases and (3) video licensing moves to a more international flavour.
While privacy and security is what VPN’s sell, most consumers seem to use them otherwise. If consumers were more interested in security and privacy Invery much doubt they would flock so easily to Google products, which in effect monetize the client.
The bottom line is it’s hard to imagine VPN pricing going up, except for people truly interested in real privacy and security, something which should be important to everyone, but seems not to be a priority for too many.

Ok but the real question is will it stop my boss for monitoring my porno downloads during work?...
JK real question is this unlimited data on paid service and what's the speed? Asking for a friend
Also is the paid monthly or can I say pay for 2 years at $12 usd a year to give it a good feel for the service.

The pro and non-pro as far as I know is the same speed, making the non-pro version a very nice trial period for your testing.
