I don't suppose you would be able to comment on one coming to St. Albert? Having to drive all the way to Windermere to hit up the best Liquor store in the YEG area is a pain in the ass
Uhhhh take the Henday east. Much shorter going to Sherwood Park

Checked out the Windermere location. Absolutely gorgeous and massive selection. Prices seemed good on my staples, and the employees were very friendly.

The Laphroig was priced at $39.99 in store so I'm not sure why it's listed as such in the flyer. I did a triple take, maybe even a quadruple take. But it scanned through fine.
Have a pic of your receipt? I'd like to go to the Sage Hill location after work for some Laphroaig QC.

Thanks.

I'd buy a case if I could get Laphroaig QC at $40/bottle. We never see deal like this in ON. Unfortunately while it has always been possible to get a decent bottle of wine under $15 at the LCBO, it's no longer possible to get a decent single malt under $50....where this always used to be the case up until 3-4 years ago...I think auchentoshan 12 was the last sub $50 holdout and now that's gone the way of the dodo. Laphroaig QC has nearly doubled in price in 5yrs. Used to be $45 and now it's $87.

Same pain here in Quebec. Glen Moray last of the sub 50's but Laphraig is a better product IMHO.

Yes it is! It was my gateway into the world of single malts. For a while I veered away from it because it was too smoky and peaty, but in the last 2 years, I've REALLY grown to really appreciate it. That's why at $40 I'd get a case...which would make the winter months more bearable...for at least a couple of years lol

DEAL DEAD for online ordering now edited Oct. 22nd

If you live in the Calgary area you can order online for pickup at your closest Liquor Barn or Liquor Depot -online the Laphroaig-Quarter-Cask-Single-Malt-Scotch-Whisky is also selling for $39.95. Ordered a few on Friday and they were ready after 5pm the next day at my local store for pickup.

http://calgary.liquordirect.ca/Laphroai ... P1306.aspx

It will not work in Edmonton nor will it work for delivery, price changes then and is no longer $39.95. Note you do not get the 10% discount for buying 3 as apparently only applies on regularly priced items.

I just left the biggest liquor store I've ever been in, at least in Calgary.
I guess you've never been to a Total Wine in the US: http://www.totalwine.com/

Thanks, I called the Sage Hill location here in Calgary. They do indeed have it on for $39.95 still and they have plenty of bottles in stock.

I'll stop by on the way home, thanks for posting the deal. I have been there once and it's amazing! Love sampling at the growler bar.

This Wine and Beyond is built in the same style. This new one is a little smaller than the giant liquor stores I've been to in the US, but it is extremely impressive and it's whisk(e)y section is must-see if you enjoy it.

And thanks mountaingrl for the heads up on Liquor Direct, I just got my order in!

Ardbeg Dark Cove for under $100 is a steal as well.... Less then half of what the LCBO is trying to gouge Ontarians for it.

it just ain't fair :(

best single malt deal I ever came across was at a Costco in San Jose. It was 2013 when CAD was still on par with USD and they had Oban 14 on sale for $40US and Lagavulin 16 for $50US. I bought 2 of each because that's all I could fit in my luggage...
