Winter tire rotation help

Winter tire rotation help

hey, i just bought myself a used winter tire. its Pirelli Winter carving 195/165/15" . on each tire theres something called 'rotation' and arrow going towards one side for each tires. ? what does that mean? any help with be appreciated.

That arrow points toward the direction in which the tire should be rotating when driving forward.

oooh ok.. so it doesnt matter if i put it left, right or front/back?? as long as the arrow is is facing the front of the car bascially.. ???

the tire looksl ike that, thats how the threat is, so its going to be rotating left ???

Yes, counter-clockwise based on that picture.

With the tire positioned/rotated so that the "direction" arrows are at the top of the wheel, they should point to the front of the car.

Hopefully the tires did not get mounted on the rims incorrectly, otherwise you could have more than two tires that have to go on one side of the car!

The "W" in "winter" should hit the pavement before the "R" when driving forward.

YOUR TIRES ARE DIRECTIONAL ONLY. Some tires are both asymetric and directional, be careful with those!

thanks for all the replies and helps guys. i figured out the direction pattern, and installed 3 tires already but one of them i couldnt since i couldnt remove one bolt :) . im gonna take it to a garage just to loose that bolt and replace that also and i'd be done. again thanks for all the helps.
