Winter Wheels / Tires for 2018 X3

Does anyone know what are the winter wheel/tire specs for 2018 X3?
Specifically:
1. Is the bolt pattern 5x112, or 5x120?
2. Would 18" be fine?

5x120

Wheels: 18 x 7.0
Tires: 225/60R18 would be ideal

Thanks for your reply.
I saw somewhere on some BMW forum, someone saying he asked this question to a nearby BMW dealer, and was told that the pattern will be different and will most likely be 5x112.

hmm. that would be really, really odd ... why would they do that ?

You can call the dealer to confirm then ... not much info right now on the new X3

I also heard BMW changed to 5x112 for G01 7 series. That may be the reason for the guess, if it's true.

You may be right. I see the 5series have been changed to 5 x 112, effective 2017 onwards ... wow. never knew.

the CB is moving to 66.56mm

This would be the same as Audi and MB. So much easier for the wheels manuf. now to make wheels

Called dealers, no one seems to have 100% confirmed info yet..

the 5eries forum chatted that all the Gxx models will start moving over to the 5x112 66.56 setup.

Thanks for the link.
What would you say about Costco's replica alloy wheel?
They don't have wheels for 2018+ X3 yet, prices are cheap for other models.

If you get from Costco, it is fine too and I am sure they will cover any issue that you may have. Since your x3 has a factory wheel of 18x7, with offset 22, that's pretty hard to find an aftermarket one almost identical to that spec. I see most aftermarket replica wheels are in the 18x7.5 and 18x8, therefore, you will have to make sure the offset is in the 15-25 range; otherwise, you may have clearance issue with suspension.

Thanks, I was not aware of your latest reply.
My X3 is still being assembled and yet to be delivered. I guess I still have a few more weeks for research, will ask around as well as ask the dealer for the exact specs.

I checked the tirerack site for their wheels and most of their 'approved' wheels for your x3 comes with 18x8 with offset in the low 30's. I fed the offset numbers to the calculators and they are awfully very close to the suspension strut ... around 25mm (approx. 1 inch). I guess you would require a spacer to have the wheel extended out. Again, if you do buy one of those wheels from a local shop, ask for test fit if possible
