Can't seem to figure this one out, the winxp sp2 computer drops it's internet connection. All other computers and devices can still access the net. The devices that can stream media between them can still do so, including the xbox streaming from the windows xp box when the computer's internet connection is down.

The windows box can access the router's config page, it just can't see the outside world. IP is set manually, dns match the routers page. Unplugging the 5 port router while leaving the cables connected will allow it to connect to the net. Unplugging and replugging the network cable does not restart the connection.

It's not the switch, it has been swapped out with a 2 old routers in dummy mode, and the internet connection failed after 4-18hrs the last power cycle.

Any ideas on what's causing this?
