Wireless media devices
Hi all,
So I had a laptop hooked into my tv/receiver for music and movies but it just bit the dust. I guess I could replace it, but really the only thing I needed it for was media stuff.. I've been looking at getting a wireless media player like the ones from d-link or linksys that work over a wireless LAN and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. How's the audio quality? Video?
I'd be trying to transmit about 50ft through 2 walls and a kitchen full of appliances.
I tried the X-10 wireless transmitter but that ended up being extremely fuzzy. I figure the wireless network stuff is a bit more powerful.
thanks,
jiro

Well, I had the laptop. The thing is if I can spent $200 on a wireless media center that does everything I need (which is what I'd like to find out!) why spend $1500 on a media pc? I'd get the PC if I was going to play games, but I really just use it for music and movies.
