Wireless N?
Is it worthwhile to go for the N routers? or is it just overated and G will be fine?

I'd stay with G for now. There is no N standard - it hasn't been finalized and it hasn't been released. The manufacturers have jumped the gun and are basing their stuff on preliminary info. There are compatibility problems since different manufacturers have implemented slightly differently. For the current high cost of N don't bother, stay with the more compatible and less costly G stuff. N will probably be great once it's really final, later this year (?) and then all the manufacturers will be on the same page.

I would wait till N final comes out in April 08. In case a major bug is discovered before then, you don't want to be stuck with a bugged unit.

wireless N is not ready. I know someone working with dell's wireless N products and he said it's not ready to buy it yet so stick with G

Exactly what the previous guys said about wireless-N, it is still draft 1.0 units out and draft 2.0 was just confirmed, Final will be a while yet to see on the market, so if you buy now, you already have a product that is bugged/may not work as good as a final wireless-N.
