wireless network problem
ive been using usb adaptor for a while, and just got a PCI wireless card few days ago. but strange thing is, when i try using wireless net with the pci it doesnt work! it keep saying aquiriing ip address, then it end up gettin a 169. ip. while when i use my usb adaptor again it connects to my network rite away. i dun think is becoz i got a faulty Pci card, because i actually bought another one last year got the same result that's y i gave up, since i tried it ttwice same result, im thinkin it's probably my setting. Here's the card i have
Belkin high speed wireless G
Dlink 624 wireless router.
i read that alot of pple have similiar problem to mine, tried their solution but none of them worked.
any suggestions?
i should add the pci did manage to connect ONCE but when it did it, there's only 1MP
thanks

what's your signal strength with your USB wireless adapter? Have you tried moving the computer closer to your router? If that is not possible, move the router to the computer and see if you can even acquire an ip address...

im getting good if not excellent signals from both adaptors. i really dunno wha the problem is but ill wait till tomorrow and see, because my refurb 1210 should be arriving. Since its a fresh computer ill try installing the pci card in that one and see if ill get the same conflict. im thinking maybe the pci card is some how conflictin wif my usb adaptor setting.
