Miss Israel 2004 and a former combat instructor for the Israeli army made her the perfect choice.
she looks even better today than she did back in 2004. She certainly is the better of the choices between her and the lady from Agents of Shield.

Why is Gadot a 'certainly' better choice than Palicki?

Palicki doesn't look like a foreign ambassador.

She looks like she's been in the US for her whole life.

Wonder Woman needs the foreign aspect - Gadot was perfect casting.

yes - it's the foreign looks and accent that completes the character.

I may be in the minority but I really liked how Palicki looked as Wonder Woman. Wasn't meant to be.

Gal looks amazing though in the role. I had my doubts but she won me over.
Baaaaaaaaa!

Fans got a breathtaking look at Wonder Woman's very first movie this year at Comic-Con and were instantly enraptured with its scenes of lush Paradise Island shores, thrilling hand-to-hand combat and gritty World War I-era action. In this DC All Access movies clip, we dive into the trailer, breaking down some key moments and exploring the movie's comic book roots.
