I dunno wtf the thief was thinking? Maybe he/she needed shoes for a family or two? Or maybe they were just testing the card to see if the purchase would get approved?

it really amazes me that CC have not moved to a pin# system like debit. i'm guessing it's the cost of implementation but it would cut down on fraud.

convenience i think is a factor for CCs and debit. I think the photos that some CCs are coming with now is a good idea. The photo should probably be weaved into a hologram too to prevent ppl from pasting over it .
