wow, are my speakers going to explode?
i was playing games today, suddenly my 2x80W Touch speakers make a loud static noise and the game/music was completely blocked off.. i unplug it from my PC, but leave the power on, and it still makes the static noise.. is it dead?

Jun 21st, 2005 10:06 PM #10I had a similar thing with my Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 speakers. They worked for a about a week, then they refused to turn on.

Beware if the speakers are not magnetically shielded, you may destroy your monitor too by having them too close to each other.

Yeah in all my time on RFD I notice as soon as I start going in the Hot Deals.. my credit card starts getting racked up.. and I have all kinds of junk I dont know what to do with.
So right now I'm doing my best to just stay the heck out of the Hot Deals forum to save money!
If I need a specific item, then I do a search and see what I can find... aimlessly clicking and buying has really become a waste... even with the hot prices.
