I have imported 2x Audis, now looking for a Mercedes Benz GLK. Can anyone who's recently brought one in walk me through the process? Any ways around the absurdly expensive modifications MB Canada wants you to get?
Thanks!

What are some good buys from the US in the used-lux SUV arena (small/midsized) for around $30K?

I know this has probably been asked before, which companies finance vehicles from the US, and roughly what's the interest rate for someone with good credit?
I have an unsecured LOC from BMO but it's only 20k at 6.8%. I've got about 10k saved and my current vehicle is worth 6k and I probably have a friend who wants it, but I'm looking to buy a GMC Sierra 3500 and they run 45-50k. I intend on clearing it myself, my mother in law works at Livingstone and my uncle works at a GM dealership and can get me a recall letter.
If the interest rates aren't very good I can try and get my LOC increased.Last edited by i6s1; Aug 3rd, 2012 at 06:58 PM.

As far as i know I do not think any companies finance US vehicles while they are still in USA. We do for our clients, when we import for them... so we front the money to purchase the cars and you finance them when the import is complete. We offer rates from 4.99% OAC for up to 96 months. Other than an arrangement like this, i think you will be very hard pressed to find a bank to send money to a foreign company... i could be wrong though.

I think infiniti and some subaru dealers will sell to canadian consumers. However you don't get any incentives which can be $4k plus.
Other than that, you have to have a solid contact you buy 15+ cars from a month to have it so they sell you units at cost less incentives. Even then, we still run into issues every so often as manufacturers are tightening up.

Importing for someone else
Hi guys,
Looking to bring in a US import for my mother in law. I will do the deal in her name and have the bill of sale in her name and the original title.
What should I bring to do the import on her behalf?
Thanks!
