I am thinking about the same thing. but if i port back to fido, I need to pay out the tag or I have a 15 days return period? Can I just give back everything to a koodo store?

How do you switch back if you already ported to Koodo? Immediately pay off your Koodo tab? Or return the phone?

Just go a plan without a phone... or

If you aren’t happy with your Koodo phone, you can return or exchange it within 15 days for a full refund and Tab reversal. You'll get whatever you paid for your phone back, no questions asked. Any other charges, however, will be your responsibility.

The phone must be returned in like-new condition with all included accessories and proof of purchase.

If your usage stays within the limits below, we’ll waive your first bill. If your usage exceeds any one of these limits, you can still return or exchange your phone but you’ll be responsible for your bill.

Reasonable usage:

30 minutes of talk time (local and/or long distance)
50 text messages (incoming and outgoing)
50 MB data

$330 + $504 = $834, not $804.

Iphones were same price on boxing week, I got an iphone 8 for $200 on a large tab. That was 5 months ago, the phones should be cheaper now as they are 5 months closer to being obsolete.

Only phone that maintains any value after initial release has always been the iPhones. The Samsung Note line does a decent job at retaining value, but iPhone is superior in value retention. If you're the person that buys a new phone and uses it for a few years then all of that is pointless.

They have no one to blame but themselves if you bought Samsung phones (except Note series) at MSRP (or close to)

Looks like some gift cards are $100 now, including IPhone X. And Wow mobile site says $100 trade in? Or is they only for select phones?
Would make Iphone X $904+ tax (net) and activation fee, similar in price to when Freedom had them on sale a couple months back.

Anyone done a trade in with Wow? Looking for the A8. Don't think my cracked screen PRIV has any value.

Currently on the $55 5gb koodo plan with 10% off byod discount which brings the monthly fee to $49.50. Wish to keep my plan, what's the best way to get an A8 for cheap? Reading the OP, seems like opening a new line on small tab and then cancel?

Yes, because Android has x many other phones to choose from. iOS: take it or leave it.

Open a new line and cancel it. I do it all the time.

Getting to that point where I'm feeling I should wait for the new lineup of iPhones, Pixels, etc. releasing in the Fall. Enticing though
