Comes down to personal pref...
Steel bracelets can pinch and get sweaty. I prefer the leather bands.
Bands are usually replacable ... could always buy the face you want, and put the band you want on it.
*edit*
Just had a look at the linked pics ... the steel one appears much more "dress" than the leather one. Choice would also depend on when you expect to wear it.Last edited by GreenWeenie; Jun 23rd, 2005 at 12:05 PM.

I definitely have a personal preference for the stainless steal. Something about the leather band just doesn't do it for me.
The silver is just so...shiny.

steel bracelets are apparently more trendy these days.
so, if you're buying a Tissot, you probably care about what's trendy, therefore the SS bracelet would be a better choice.

stainless steel looks better, and will be more durable, but less comfortable.
Always buy a stainless steel version of a watch if the price isn't much different. You can always buy a leather band for about $20 after. You don't have to get the exact same leather band, but you should be able to find one similar.
On my Omega SpeedMaster Professional, the watch with stainless steel band costs $3700. Leather version of the watch is $3600. But what they don't tell you is that the steel band itself is something like $500 if you buy it afterwards.
