Writing CSC Volume 1 Exam tomorow... really stressed
I am writing CSC volume 1 tomorow. I studied from oliver notes and did all the questions from www.cscpractice.ca
I did fairly well on the questions and the two exam. A friend of mine just emailed me questions from some other sources and they seem really hard. Well obviously its too late to do much now, but I am just wondering for people who have written the CSC how do the questions at cscpractice.ca compare to the actual exam.
Thanks...

don't worry, it's a cake walk, you've put in the time, effort and even did practice exams
you'll be fine

Dont worry, you require minimal studying. A buddy of mines once said "its easier to get 99% than to get exactly 60% on any exam". you'll be fine.

I will give you more stress.
Back when i did CSC volume 1 test. I have a 58% on first one.
Funny thing is 58% is very common. I have met 3 people in my life who had 58% just like me.
If you look on the Internet you will found few.
Even till this day i suspect they reduce your point if you are close in 60% to 58% because the first exam will always give you 10 weird question that claims not to be accounted to your final marks and is mixed inside your questions.
Now being said. second time i took that exam, i never saw those again.
I personally don't think it is a cake walk as many people does here. I guess i am just stupid compare to these smart people.
BTW i did those question too, i aced them all and i failed first exam. XD (i passed both at the end at flying color once i know how they test me)

just don't spend a bunch of useless time on a single question you're stuck with. just move on to the next!
you will be fine. seriously, it's easy breezy, if you've read everything

The sample questions on CSC Practice look similar (from what I remember) to the real CSC exam. Like the others have said, don't worry! As long as you put in an honest effort to study (which it looks like you did) you'll find it easy.

+1. If you went to University and took anything related to math/finance/accounting/econ, this test is a cakewalk.

There are no apostrophes in plurals! "I have 1000 posts" = correct. "I have 1000 post's" = incorrect!

Voila: French, meaning "There it is!" or "Look!"

Wala: An island of Vanuatu.

I don't think there is much to accounting on there beside the basic stuff which everyone know with or without finance background.
There is no math on it as well,
I still think anyone will fail with just university stuff because CSC goes right into how the finance system works. You don't really learn that from university. Like what consist of ombudman or how canadian banks works with the basis points and stuff and what is their function...etc
At least i never saw those in my crappy and worse university in Canada. one of word start with a T.

I took CSC Lv 1 exam last Sat and passed it. It was fair, bit harder than practice questions. I studied the text book only. You will do fine! Good luck today!
