If you applied to multiple city locations and they offer you the position, can you choose to which city location you're assigned or they assign you to one location with no option to change it?

Anyone applied to the current EA/CM job postings? May be too early to ask as postings have not closed, but please share your timeline, if you want to.

Mine is:

Jul 19 - applied to both
Aug 17 - email invitation for an EA interview and work sample
Aug 24 - interview and work sample

Hi guys! I’m new here. This thread has been a great read since I’m also in the running for EA. My case is a little different considering I started at WSIB with internship (Health Care Payment Rep) then progressed into a variable Drug Verification Rep position for almost a year. I ended up quitting (which was a mistake) due to a lack of permanent positions, then randomly the posting for EA drops. They’re treating me as an external candidate which really sucks as this waiting game is intense! Had my interview on Aug 1, followed by a work sample. Still waiting on feedback/job offer but I noticed the president of WSIB Jeff Lang and a Team Manager checked out my LinkedIn profile the other day - Has this happened to anyone else? I’m hoping this is a positive sign that I’ll be starting sooner than later!

That sounds promising to me, hoping that you get an offer soon! Since you're wanting to regain employment with the WSIB, I'm guessing your experience with them wasn't completely terrible? Wondering what your thoughts are on some of the negative things I've heard about the position/organization on this thread (micromanaging, high caseloads, tight deadlines, etc)?

Honestly, no issues other than towards the end they put me under a new manager who was production-heavy. She wanted me be go above the 85% production target which was challenging because the role was mostly dedicated to the phone lines helping workers with their medication issues. I only worked 14 hours a week but churned out 40 updates per shift on average which consisted of drug expert letters, data entries and reimbursements. Not so much micromanaging but she would bring up whenever my numbers were lower than other days during our 1 on 1 meetings. I treated everything as a learning curve so my experience was positive. I ended up leaving because the manager hired too much on-call reps and they planned on downsizing.

Was told no, as I'm already on the list and should a position open up in my region, I am already there and on the qualified candidate list. So yes, it's been a lengthy process for me at least.
Thanks for sharing. Yeah, that's a lengthy process, I'd say. Wondering why there is a new CM posting when there are candidates like you that are available to start working. Perhaps, as you said, it depends on the openings in each location.

I'm in the exact same 'pool' as you. I just now emailed them to say.."I was told I was in the pool, I informed i would relocate, I see there is a new competition, can you confirm if I'm still in the pool? Would I reapply? What is the process?"

I also interviewed for the RTW role on June 30 and still haven't heard anything back one way or the other.

The new RTW class started on September 11. I don't think they are currently hiring for that role.

Hi there, is this for an EA position? Have you received an official offer yet?

I hope they are actually hiring and not just collecting a talent pool . Because I seen previous post here and glass door - about being put on an external candidate list - some people have been on that list for years I applied in august waiting for a potential interview

With the way the interview was quickly conducted I feel they’re in need, she said they will be doing training in September.

@Tara11

I emailed the TAC and she said I should expect a feedback from them within 3-4wks.

I also want to ask you guys, how would one know if they’re successful or not? Will they make you wait that long to know if you’re unsuccessful or only successful ppl have have to wait that long?

I was recently hired as a return-to-work specialist. In my case, they stayed in touch throughout the process. A TAC emailed me when I made the external pool, then called once they were ready to actually extend an offer. After receiving the verbal offer, it took another month to receive the written one, which was weird and nerve racking.
I know they REALLY need case managers, especially in the Toronto area.

@Dtcoke

Thanks for your inputs, let’s see what happens. The wait is not the best lol. It makes you think a millions things and asking yourself where you might have gone wrong. Fingers crossed
