Has anyone heard when they will begin hiring for the EA role again?
No one heard of it because the only information available right now says that they are not hiring for EA period. Can be weeks, can be months, can be years or even never. They are going through a mess restructuring right now.... I personally have a feeling they are eliminating EA role all together and will spread the EA duties between their customer service line and Short Term CMs. They are already combining a role of RTW specialists and Reintegration specialists. Nothing stops them from doing the same with EA. But again.... it's just my thoughts. I have no clue what they actually are up to...

That doesn’t sound very hopeful. That would be such a shame of the last year of recruiting to go to waste.

I agree :(
The only good thing is that they seemingly exploring different options, so we just have to be hopeful and keep checking into it. Everything is possible in the future. But today.... eh it is what it is.

I have heard that during probation period you cannot switch role, is that correct?

I'm not sure the exact answer to this, but it would make sense that you wouldn't be able to. Especially considering the fact that they just spend time, energy, and money on training you up for the role for which you've been hired...

That is correct, it’s usually for about 6 to 9 months whenever you start a new role at Wsib (at least for the unionized/bargaining unit positions, I am not sure of the management ones).

This actually makes sense. A lot of the CSR's who recently applied would probably be very happy

Depends on if they get a pay raise or not. If they don't, I don't think they'd be happy at all, lol.

It's been 4 weeks since one of my three references were called ... 5 since my interview. I was given a time frame of approximately 2 weeks at interview. I have emailed twice (thank you after interview, and a follow up 2 weeks later) but have received no response at all. Also, this is not for the EA or CM position. This was for a position posted in October and the job posting has since expired.

Is this time line normal? Considering test, interview, reference check was all completed within 1.5 weeks, the wait is killing me. Is it customary to call references if the intent to extend an offer is not there? Is it normal policy for the talent acquisition rep to not respond to emails?

So many questions  Obviously all I can do is wait and see what transpires but it's slowly killing me Confused Face

No way the union does not push for a pay raise out of this lol - but they get paid quite well. I believe 60K after two years

It's been 4 weeks since 1/3 references were called ... 5 since my interview. Is this sort of timeline normal for WSIB? The job posting expired 3 weeks ago - and this is not for the EA or CM
position.

I've emailed twice - one thank you after the interview and a follow up 2 weeks later. No response to either of my emails. Is it commonplace for the talent acquisition rep to not respond to emails? Would they call my references if they had no intent to extend an offer? Should I even bother emailing again?

So many questions tho obviously all I can do is wait  but it is a little disheartening to be rushed through the process (test, interview, referee's called all within 1.5 weeks) to dead silence for a month. Disappointed But Relieved Face

Hm... can't speak regarding "not CM or EA related positions" but in my experience HR never ignores emails.... they usually email back. It is usually something very standard and pre-systematic like "thank you for your continued interest in this position but training dates have not being assigned yet. If you are chosen one of our team members will contact you bla bla bla".

Again I guess safe to say they would've been in touch if you were to be offered a job so silence speaks loader then words, but check your emails and spam box. Make sure their response wasn't lost somewhere there. It is extremely out of character for them not to reply to an email.

I wonder if they are waiting for the budget, before they can decide the number of hires.

any bilingual folks apply for the CM position? If so anyone hear back yet? I’m kinda surprised I haven’t hea d a word and was supposed to have the EA interview but was told it was put on hold. Guess I’m just surprised they wouldn’t use the EA candidates as a short list for the CM poster.

They actually did. People that were already in the pool for EA, got invited for an interview for CM positions.
