Thanks everyone for the information and advice. I have decided that if they offer me an EA role I will take it. I don't believe I'm going to see my employer offering me anything significant any time soon so it's time to move on.

As tough as this role sounds I think it's a challenge that can be overcome. Just need to work at it and trust the training. All you can do really.

Has your contact given you any idea when hiring will actually start for EAs in 2017. I am beyond frustrated with the waiting.

I believe they are looking to hire for training in July and September.

That means they will probably announce really soon who got in and who didn't. Hopefully my score isn't so low that I get bumped off by new applicants.
