honestly if i were you i wouldn't cheap out on this, and you may want to look into a single ear headset and purchasing a cheap sound card or enable onboard sound. you can setup comms software so that only your headset receives sound from it so that you can still have speakers for game sounds, it's really easy to do and makes the games alot more enjoyable. or if your not going to do that then i'd spend a good buck and buy a nice set because i went through 4 headsets in a years time from daily use because of the cheapness of the wire and how it's connected to the headset. actually the next one i buy will be wireless because i'm fed up with breaking them and having to fork over another $50 for a set.

The Zalman surroundsounds zm-rs6f are excellent for gaming imho, get them at ncix or in the forum here, good price too and very solid build. If you have a decent soundcard then you can adjust the "centre" of the sound forwrd and back of your head depending on your preference.
