This was a top of the line Coolpix semi-pro 5mp Nikon digital Camera. Brand new condition, not a scratch.

I have moved onto D-SLR and am now selling my CP 5000.

This CoolPix 5000 has a high quality 3X Optical Nikon Zoom Nikkor glass lens, zooming from from 28mm wideangle; just great for those indoor and outdoor shots! It's articulated monitor screen makes it easy to record images from all angles and perspectives. Yet the camera is much more compact than what it looks like. This pro-quality, expensively made (original cost way above $1200) camera has a thick magnesium oxide metal body shell, unlike those cheaper ones with thin aluminium covers. Photographers in the know consider the CoolPix 5000 one of the best of the CoolPix 5 megapixel cameras (even when compared to newer models), as it is the only Nikon CoolPix that you can attach an optional Nikon lens that makes it into a quality 19mm ultra wide angle camera. Also accepts Nikon Flashes to give bright and clean images when shooting with the tele, or further subjects indoors. Cameras without the external flash ability results in 'noisy' images with lots of coloured 'dots' for subjects further away; but this Nikon gives beautiful clean images.

I bought this camera in about January 2003. It has only been used lightly and is in excellent to near brand new condition. Included in the package is: Everything that was in the original box.
