Hey,
I don't know if anyone would have what I'm requesting but here goes:
I am looking for a pinball machine or an arcade. It should be in good condition and should work without any defects. Doesn't have to be Coin-op but it would be better if it was.
Also looking for a pool table, either a 8 by 4 or 9 by 4.5. The table should be in very good condition.
I'm trying to start a rec room, so send some other ideas if you have.
Thanks to Jaytee for pointing this out, I am located in Scarborough, but can pick up in Richmond Hill, Vaughn, Markam, Aurora, Downtown, New Market or anywhere else around the GTA.
For pinballs: I am considering most pinball machines, but I would prefer the newer units which work with ICs, and have some sort of digital display.
Send some offers,
Chris

First off, you should say what city you are in. Shipping a pinball or arcade is a pain.
Second, there are tons of games out there, you should probably narrow it down and describe the type of games you like.
You should also consider a super chexx bubble hockey (they are very expensive) and/or a slot machine.
Also a poker table would be cool.
Good luck with the rec room.

What are you looking to spend? PM me.
I have some access to various arcade games, and can set you up with a cabinet and hardware, so that all you might need is an emulator, etc.
EG - Golden Tee, entire game, will run you around 1200...but before I could estimate price for sure, I'd need to know exactly what you wanted.
Like I said, PM me, we can discuss further.

make sure if you put in a pool table that you got enough room to shoot comfortably, dont want holes in your wall
put in a bar!

Make yourself a MAME arcade machine with every rom that ever existed!
If not, try some good arcades like Wonder Boy, Double Dragon, Wrestlemania with 4 controllers, Popeye, cocktail table with pacman or something, Toki, uhmm... Oh geez, I've forgotten my childhood.

You still haven't said what city you are in.
And a MAME machine can be configured to work only by coin operation if you wanted it to. I have a working coin door on my MAME machine, but I've also rigged it so it gives free credits when you press the coin reject button.
Also if you don't have time or aren't interested in working on the machine, then a pinball machine probably isn't for you. Pinballs are high maintenance so either you will spend a bunch of money keeping it working good, or spend time doing it yourself. I have a Twilight Zone pinball I picked up for my basement last year and spent the time learing how to fix it and took apart the entire playfield (over 100 parts) to clean, wax, repair & replace stuff. I find it almost as much fun working on the machine as I do playing it. I also find that I play my pinball machine much more than my MAME machine.
There are lots of arcade games and pinball machines on e-bay even, but I would STRONGLY advise that you look for something local (not on e-bay) so that you can check it out before you agree to pay for it.
That being said, if anyone in/near Edmonton has a pinball machine they want to sell at a reasonable price, or knows someone that does, I may be interested. Even if its not working, I may be interested.

WOW, that's a nice MAME machine
. Awesome job. I would want something similar to that...
I did mention my location... it's Scarborough, but willing to pick up within a 50-100km radius.... I agree, I do not want it to get it off ebay as shipping charges seem to match the units' selling prices. I did find a guy in the GTA off ebay, but he's prices are too high.
How much would a mame machine cost... if I were to provide my own computer?

Thanks.
Mine cost me around $1200 to build, thats including $200 for the 27" TV and ~$500 for the computer. So around $500 for the lumber, paint, joysticks, buttons, interface, used coin door, plexi, lexan, screws, etc. If you need to buy tools it will cost you more. If you can find an old cabinet, you can probably save money.

$1,200 to build a MAME machine is a great price. I need to start saving. Wow.
