I was looking for a project for the summer. So I believe a mame machine will be a nice addition. I have to document on it a bit. If anyone finds some nice documents describing how to do this, don't be shy... post em.![]()

That MAME machine is friggin awesome!
I had always wondered if this was something people had considered with MAME and lo and behold there's a whole underground movement on it.
Damn that's great.
Time, money and space permitting I'm totally going to throw together one of these things.
Awesome job and good luck to Traian2003. If you've got the tools and time I would *totally* go with this method. Way more rewarding. and then you could do a WTB for a MAME cd full of games.
Good luck man!_______________

I'd love a cool pinball machine.... Rocky and Bullwinkle was surprisingly fun to play!

Would it be possible to use a Xbox inside a MAME machine? Dumb question, probably since a computer would probably be cheaper after some deals...

Don't see why not, but none of the existing MAME emulators for the Xbox have virtual memory support IIRC, and a lot of ROMs don't fit inside the Xbox's 64MB of RAM.Originally posted by bdisagree@Apr 9 2004, 11:21 AM

Thanks, that's too bad they didn't use more ram.
Do you know if it's possible to play a rom on the PC but TV OUT it to the TV and play it there? If that's possible, that'd rule... Oh wait, you'd need a very, very long cable for the joysticks.

I'll take it if it's free, I'm not going to build one, but I wouldn't mind seeing the process.
