Very hard to beat the S12 for low-noise operation.

Anything comparable just started appearing... So far it's the NeoHE (but compability issues) and the new Zalman. S12 should be more available than the Zalman...

hehe, actually I got a 200gb SATA Nidec for sale, and a 160gb pata Wester digital, the samsung is noisey but the WD is pretty good with almost no audible seek noise.

btw the one in my sig is a typo, i'll fix it now.
