not sure if this was posted b4, so forgive me if it was......
Anyways i got a question, why do i hear so many bad review on 360 as to it overheating or breaking or something i.e. too many problems, but with my x-box 1 i never had any problems not even freezing when playing games......did the quality of them went down, or is it just bad review and i should just disregard them?

Mar 18th, 2006 07:13 PM #4If you bought your Xbox around launch you should remember the exact same issues (hardware problems that is). It happens but I bought an Xbox at launch with no problems after three years and my Xbox 360 is doing just fine.

Mar 18th, 2006 07:33 PM #51. The first production batch of any complex item is going to have problems.

I dont have a x360, nor do i know what its failure stats are, but I would take reviews/feedback/opinions with a grain of salt._______________

Mar 18th, 2006 09:47 PM #6Especially with all the fanboys out there that are quick to give systems bad reviews for a few isolated incidents.

Mar 18th, 2006 11:55 PM #7yeah i understand that it's just that i hear more complains of 360 then of regular x-box or ps2 or other systems....i just want it to be as reliable as x-box 1 or even better, i mean you would pay between 460-575$ for them so obviously i want quality for that money

Mine has been perfect too.
Dunno about all these overheating stuff. Mine is NOT on carpet, not enclosed in a tight space (I mean really, would you put your PC inside an enclosed entertainment centere?) and the power supply also not enclosed in a tight space. I'm not dumb enough to move my 360 while powered up nor am I dumb enough to place it nearby where it can be bumped
All electronics item have a failure rate so this is no surprise there will be isolated incidents. I personally don't know anyone who's had problems with their unit and I have about 10 friends with a 360 right now.
With the blogging in full force, isolated incidents get way overblown. Were blogging this active when the Xbox 1 and PS2 were launched, I'm sure we'd be seeing just as much uproar as with the 360. Wait till the PS3 comes out. Knowing Sony's lack of quality control in their console division, I am expecting the blogosphere to go nuts as well._______________

From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."

No problems at all with ours. Seems to me that the most worrisome people are the ones that don't own one and maybe are hoping to experience a little schadenfreude.

I don't think the 360 has had any more complaints or issues then any other system released in the past. I actually think I remember hearing about more issues around the PS2's launch then any other system.
I myself do not own a 360, but I did but a PSP when it was first released and if you believed all the negative comments you would think that every PSP was bad.

Mar 19th, 2006 03:18 AM #13You'd be wrong. THe PS1 was the WORST launch hardware ever. Overheating problems galore, so bad you'd need to flip it upside down to properly ventilate the unit.

Mar 19th, 2006 05:06 PM #14Everytime a new/redesigned system comes out, of course you're going to only hear problems, like the previous poster said, you hardly ever hear someone say "My Xbox 360 works as it should" to their friends, you hear bad way more than good.
