X-Men: Dark Phoenix - Feb 14, 2019

Looks like Bryan Singer and Fox is already planning on being in Montreal in early 2017 to begin filming the direct sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse.

EDIT: Originally scheduled for November 4, 2018, it's been delay till February 14, 2019.

Probably not breaking news, but more rumours about the next film to be based on the Dark Phoenix Saga. Tough one to pull off but anything could be better than "The Last Stand", right? Ugh, that movie was awful.
If its the same director, I am all for it. He makes solid X-Men movies that are interesting, enjoyable and fun.

I would hope they make a 2 movie arc or something. You have these huge characters like Jean Grey and Cyclops etc, there is so much backstory needed that if you go straight into the Dark Pheonix saga and only one movie, I don't think it will work as well. That is unless the new movie has a lot of time for Jean Grey development.

Exciting news. I thought Singer said he was going to take a break for X-men, but if he's coming back for the Phoenix Saga then that's good news for X-men fans.

The original trilogy plus The Wolverine were filmed in Vancouver and I think Wolverine: Origins was in at least Victoria. Maybe Montreal has better tax credits now.

Well for Days of Future Past they needed something that looked like Paris for that scene with the Vietnamese treaty so Old Montreal is one of the few places old enough in North America to have similar architecture.

Idk what they uses for Apocalypse or this sequel though. Maybe they just like working with whatever companies they've dealt with already.

Yeah, too soon for The Dark Phoenix. Hmm, but don't know what other story to suggest. Moira McTaggert's son from 127 and 128 had decent reviews, but I don't see it translating well to a movie.

"The Last Stand" sucked because it took an X-Men story and turned it into a Wolverine movie.

Honestly man, Bryan Singer needs to STOP making these X-Men movies all he does is F it up after some one tries to fix his mess. Xmen Apocalypse was complete trash.
