Xbox 360 Warranty
Here's the Issue from the weekend, we moved our 360 to our main TV friday night, player Rockband till 2:00am, my son took it back to his room for Sat, then we moved it again Sat night for more Rockband. No issues, then on sunday I moved it back to his room. He complained he couldnt get on xbox live. Went down and looked, we have the 360 wifi adapter, and it had no Green light on or red. I tried to test the connection told me it couldnt find an adapter. Tried to re seed it 5 times, no luck. Moved it to the front USB ports and it works fine. So I assume the rear usb port is hooped. My question is what is the warranty on these? This was orginally won in the first be first to play contest. Then we had the red ring of death in Aug last year, got it replaced and recieved the replacement in Oct. From what I've read its only 3 years on RRD, but not sure on other issues etc. If anyone knows please feel free to let me know.

I think the 3 years is only for the RROD and or disc scratching?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

There's also a 1yr warranty on all other problems, so if you got the replacement last October, you would be covered under the 1yr warranty, right? I would think replacements would be covered by their own warranties, not sure though. But do you really need to replace it just for a usb port? Just use a usb hub for your front ports or something.

I could use a hub, but I dont like hte fact that the network adaptor is going to dangle, theres a clip in the back to hold it in place. ITs more principal really for me.

I had the same issue, where my usb's were all pooched. They covered it under the 3 year warranty. It happened after my son accidently pulled out the power cord. I think you have to be very careful on how these are plugged in, and turned off.

RROD warranty si 3yrs, from the original unit.
replacement units just carry over the existing warranty, they do not start all over again.
if the unit is reg'd, just call and find out.
worst case scenario, give it RROD yourself.
