I would definitely get the Elite. With the larger hard drive, HDMI output and HDMI cable it makes it worth it.
One thing to do before you buy is look at the back of the 360 packaging to find the lot #.
* Lot #0723 or higher includes the new heatsinks.
* Lot #0727 or higher includes the new heatsinks and the new quieter DVD drives.
* Lot #0734 or higher includes the new heatsinks, the new DVD drive and the 65nm chips
With this then you want to look for Lot #0734 or higher to get the new chip.

No cores have HDMI just yet. According to the gamestop memo, the new Core bundles will also have HDMI (they're not out yet).
If you care about the optical out and won't go through your TV for sound via HDMI, then you might as well grab the Elite. MS doesn't include the optical out audio adapter on the Premiums but it's there for the Elite. The cable+HDMI adapter itself costs $50._______________
From a "Family" reviewer: "We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work."
From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."

The only reason i had interest in the elite was because of hdmi, but now the premium has hdmi sooooooo premium all the way!
But it looks like ill be waiting a little bit longer looks like they are starting to pump out halo 3 360's with the 65nm. Ill wait for the premiums with 65nm so the 33% chance of rrod is reduced to 20% probably. Damn MS and their faulty ways.

Look for the code name "Zephyr" if you want the premium with HDMI.

hard drive is very useful -
* saved games, could be saves from 10K to 30MB or higher
* downloaded - demos, updates, XBL games, some expansions only available on XBL
* later on we may get TV shows, movies etc. for downloading
Without the expansion you *could* get away with a large memory card but in the end it's not worth it and if you purchase a hard drive separately you'll be paying a lot more.Last edited by xjohnx; Sep 29th, 2007 at 10:22 AM.
