XBox / Europe question
Hey guys,
I'm moving ot the UK in 6 weeks, and I'd like to take my modded XBox with me. Will this work? Will I need some adapters? Obviously the power is a different voltage over there, so I'll have to accomodate that.
Does the XBox have a voltage switch on it like my PC? What would you suggest as a way to get the signal from NTSC to PAL? Has anyone done this before?
I'm starting to think it'd be easier to just take the HD out of this one, buy a new one over there, and plop this HD in (since it's a SoftMod). Any thoughts?

Several things:
Power differences: we're 110V here, they're 220-240V there. I have a switchable power supply in my Xbox (because I was a dumbass and blew up my stock one when I went to HK/China), but a stock Xbox just isn't going to take.
Output differences: we use NTSC (60hz, 525 lines of resolution, ~30 effective fps), they use PAL (50hz, 625 lines of resolution, ~25 effective fps). Different colour-coding, different resolution, different framerate.
Game differences: their games are PAL-EU coded in the copy-protection (duh).
If you had a modchip installed on your box, it might be worth it to just replace the power supply and bring it over, but if it's a softmod I'd just buy a box there and relock it with the correct HDkey for that other Xbox. An Xbox you buy there will work with all TVs there, as opposed to only just ones that take NTSC (although I hear a LOT of TVs there do NTSC).
Funny side-note: Hong Kong Xboxes output PAL TV signals, but the games are coded for NTSC-J region (in fact, they didn't even bother producing Hong Kong-specific copies of Dead or Alive 3 - they just shipped Japanese copies over! heh.)
