ODST is such a lame excuse for a full retail game.
6-8 hours of storyline, same multiplayer as Halo 3 with 3 new maps and a new Firefight mode.
Firefight might look pretty good, but it's gonna get boring after a few runs like Horde/Nazi Zombies/L4D. Also, I heard that there was no XBL matchmaking for Firefight, meaning you can only play locally, or with people on your friends list.
Don't get me wrong, you guys can still play it, and enjoy it and it's just my opinion. But I'm gonna wait until the price drops to like $30, the price that an expansion should be priced at.

You may be right, but for someone like me who stopped playing Halo for a while and didn't purchase any of the map packs, this is a pretty good deal, especially since I just ordered it for $60 on Dell.ca
Map packs are $10 each, considering this game adds more maps, thats $30 in map packs alone, the other $30 for campaign, firefight mode, and extras.
Im down haha.

Good points. I'm in for a Dell order as well. Now, to just find the time to play it.

Worth it for the Halo die hards, otherwise there are a lot of other great games that are better value for your dollar.

$60 for an expansion pack? Halo 3: ODST underwhelms
Halo 3: ODST began life as an expansion to Halo 3... and based on our retail copy of the game, that's also where it ended up. One new multiplayer mode, three new multiplayer maps, a short campaign, and two "new" guns shouldn't add up to $60, but this is Halo.
Halo 3: ODST was created in around a year, with a smaller team than past Halo titles, and was originally conceived as an expansion for Halo 3. Later, ODST was turned into a full product, with a few additions to try to make it a little more worth it for fans of the series. Not only does the new title boast a full campaign that features co-op, but the game includes every multiplayer map ever released for Halo 3, and a few extra for good measure. Buying the $60 release also gets you access to the Halo: Reach beta, when it goes live at some future date. Finally, there's also the Firefight mode, which puts players in a number of settings and then throws wave after wave of enemies at them.
Those are a lot of new features to check out, so I invited a friend over, cracked open some beverages, and got ready to take part in what we were sure was going to be an epic experience. We had played the past Halo games together, spent numerous hours online and in co-op, and were ready for something new.
Around four hours later the credits ran. "Well, that saved me $60," my friend told me wearily.
