My Xbox just RROD'd. I setup the warranty repair on-line, but I'm confused. Are they sending me a box to ship it back to them, or do I use my own box and just ship it using their prepaid label?
When I did the paperwork (on-line), it looked like they were sending me a box, but I read that they cancelled that policy in June of this year? They also sent me a label via e-mail (versus including it in the pre-paid box) which suggests I use my own box? Anyone know?

I believe they changed this policy as well, they no longer send you a box. If you received the shipping label, I assume they are not going to send you a box.

I just called xbox support as well, my 360 rrod on saturday. From what I understand, they send you a label and you have to supply your own box.

I had to make my own box. They used the same box to send back a replacement machine.

I just called and they said I should use my own box. He said I should use newspapers to stuff the box (eek!).
When you read the e-mail they send you, they are very clear that you should not use your original box because they won't ship it back to you, so I'm kinda surprised that they shipped the same one back...unless you shipped it in a coffin-style box?_______________

My roommate sent off my Xbox a few weeks ago, MS does not supply a box, but they do supply a shipping label. Turnaround time was about 1.5 weeks.

you need to get your own box, i have been sending back and forward xbox for the past few years.
they use to provide box for customer but not anymore. i just have my shipped back last month
the turn around time is very quick, i received mine back within the same week. you just need to print out the shipping label from the email they sent you. it's from UPS.
Shipped out Monday
Received on Tuesday at 3 pm
inspected and send back at 5pm
Wednesday it's with the purolator
and received it back on Tuesday.
they don't check your xbox for RROD problem they just ship another unit to you right away. i just bs them about the RROD because i got a trade in Xbox from EBgames for there august promo. And now i have refub from them and it still has the 3 yrs of RROD warranty
