Yes there's a good chance you'll have to pay 15% tax on the amount converted to Canadian. It would probably be the same or cheaper to buy it here in Canada.Originally Posted by alpha_tot

XFX 7800GT from monarch $276USD after rebate
http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...ct_Code=190339
$305.99 - $30MIR
S+H says $20.24 for me via USPS...add that and factor in the exchange, and its still quite a bit cheaper than any others I've seen. Its slightly OCed to 450/1050 vs 400/1000 stock, and you get a double lifetime warranty from XFX. Seems like a good deal...but im not sure how USPS cross border shipping works...any chance of having to pay customs?
edit: forgot to mention this...free copy of COD2 www.XFXforce.com/cod2
Also comes with 3 Full Games: Farcry, X2, MotoGP2
MIR and COD promotion end on the 30th.Last edited by alpha_tot; Nov 27th, 2005 at 01:06 AM.

I know you would have to pay that with UPS, but Ive never been charged by USPS...and you could always clear the stuff through customs yourself.
Or do you just mean GST+PST? Because, well, yeah, youd have to pay that. But you would pay that on anything you got here too.Last edited by alpha_tot; Nov 27th, 2005 at 01:08 AM.

USPS = United States Postal Service
The United States Postal Service (USPS) delivers in Canada via Canada Post. A person comes to your door collecting on the declared value on the package. GST + PST and plus a lesser ($4-5 I think)brokerage fee. No duty on consumer computer stuff.

Brokerage, not Duties..?
If you scan down to Category 5 on this page it shows no duties on computers or components.

When I won a 7800GT from one of eVGAs contests, they shipped it UPS and declared the value as $400cdn. I cleared it myself, but still had to pay customs $70cdn. I'm sure the UPS brokerage fee would've easily been another $30 -$40

hmm accordring to my calculator this comes to $399.75~ at the door
and then COD2
sure beats 399.95 + tax ($450~ no COD2) eVga 7800GT from Anitec...
worth a try for anyone looking to buy one...
XFX also offers lifetime warranty, little strick than evga, but it's transferable.
