I don't believe it's possible. I think Wyze restricts cloud access based on MAC address, so any Xiaomi Xiaofang cameras would not be able to access Wyze's cloud features. I do wish there is a way. I wouldn't mind trying Wyze's app with my Xiaofang cameras too.
Thanks, received the WyzeCam today. Tried the Wyze app but I think I prefer iVideon and saving all my recordings... before I go the FangHack route, any chance of reverting to WyzeCam if things go South or is it a one-way trip?

I'm pretty sure you can revert back to the original firmware. There are instructions on Wyzecam's support site to do this:

https://www.wyzecam.com/forums/topic/fl ... -firmware/

The original firmware can be downloaded from the Github link (make sure you know which version of Wyzecam you have):

You're welcome! Here are the websites you'll need to hack the Wyzecam:

Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/wyzecam/commen ... _rtsp_for/
Website: https://openip.cam/
Github with installation instructions: https://github.com/openipcamera/openipc-firmware

Make sure you know which version you're hacking (V1 or V2). The instructions are different between the two version.
@rvs007... I found the original github that I used to get this going https://github.com/samtap/fang-hacks

Is this still usable or must I spend the $12.99 and use openipc?

Thanks!

You don't need to spend anything to use OpenIPC. You can download the firmware and files from Github for free and put them onto your own microSD card. The $12.99 is for them to send you a SDcard with the files on it. If you have the Wyzecam you have to use OpenIPC. The fanghack is only for Xiaomi Xiaofang cameras.

Not having any luck... stuck at this I think:

Once the light is solid blue, release the button and wait for 3-4 minutes. The camera will reboot and change light status during this time.

The camera will appear on your network with a mac address similar to this: C8:02:8F:10:03:FA

I don't see it on my network... that MAC ID that is... I have a feeling that my wpa_supplicant file is not formatted properly with the SSID and wifi password... any guidance? The github site doesn't give examples :-(

Make sure you use a proper text editor to edit the wpa_supplicant file. I seem to recall it didn't work using notepad, but it worked using Wordpad (I don't remember why because I would have thought the opposite would be the case). Make sure your SSID and wifi password are added between the "" marks (while keeping the quote marks in the file).

Thanks... I did use notepad... trying with Notepad++ now. I just noticed that my filename is "wpa_supplicant.conf.dist", should I remove the .dist from the end?

In the github, the file has the .dist extension so I think you shouldn't remove it. Is your SSID hidden? I see a note in that file that says if your SSID is hidden remove the '#' from line 8.

Thank you so much.. it worked... I copied the file and kept 2 there, one with .dist and one without... lol, not sure what's making it work.

One issue though, I saw in the known issues that 1920x1080 is not supported but I'm unable to get out of 640x360. I've tried hitting set after changing several settings, even rebooting the camera after but it always comes back to 640x360. Help!

hoping someone can help me out with setting up the Fang-Hacks

I downloaded the Win32DiskImager and wrote the image onto my SD card and it created 2 partitions. I then removed the SD card and inserted it into the camera while it is powered on and connected to my wifi. I then went onto the website : http://DEVICE_IP/cgi-bin/status to try and apply the hacks. The problem is whenever I go on the site does not work/load. I tried this multiple times and I can't get the website to load up.

Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?
