My wife wants to get a satelite radio to listen to a couple of stations. Are there any deals or promos for first time users? I wouldn't mind getting two radios but that would cost me $25 a month plus fees it seems from the web rates.

Any deals on radios too? Suggestions for a good one? What's the difference between Sirius and XM??

Future Shop has the OnyX radio with 1 year subscription for $149 (reg $199) on sales sometimes.

Spoke with billing person, was offered 199 for the year, asked to cancel and was transferred to another agent who offered 121.84 all in for a year. I again declined and she cam back with $20.20 all in for 3 months x 2 do $40.40 for 6 months. I paid 78$ for the year prior so went with this, hopefully something good is available in 6 months again.

To save time you may want to just start with the cancellation option up front.

I took the $121.84 ($107+tx) deal, for a year. No hasstle in 6months I think it's decent. My contract expired in September and was originally offered the 2 Year Plan $329.78 +tx

My 3 month free promo ended a few days ago (I actually had the promo for 6 months from the time I purchased my car) and I was looking to subscribe back with XM. Are there any promos/deals going on for new customers? They haven't sent me a renewal package or anything yet.

As I expected, I received an email with $5.99/month for six months, and a voice message on my contact number, both within a week of cancelling. You may get the same thing as well, but my promo code was XM-22L3N15A if you want to try it.

Just renewed for $5.99/month for 6 months. The code above doesn't work anymore, but I got a rep that was willing to get it into the system for me. I was originally offered an "MP3 player" with car + home kit, value of $399 for $189.99 but declined. FYI on XM's latest trick for the "XM in the car" subscriber.

I just cancelled my subscription renewal which comes on October.
First they offered me $120 for a year, then $20 for 3 months.
I said no thanks for both and she cancelled it right away.
The conversation lasted for less than a minute.

My free 3 month trial ends tomorrow so XM called me tonight and offered me what they had sent in a letter.........3 months at 4.99 and then the other 9 at full price (14.99). I said it was too much

I asked can I get the 4.99 for 6 months and he said no. Then he says he can give me a year at 169.99.

I said that's still too much. Then he says his final offer is 119 for the year. Upon asking he then says with taxes etc its more like 138.

I asked for 99 per year and he said he couldn't do it so I told him that I will not sign up

He says okay thx for your time and call us if you change your mind

I will let it ride for a week or so and if I don't hear from them I will try another CSR

So way back when I had XM (I had it years ago) I had won a unit (roady) to use but decided it wasn't good enough and picked up a better unit on boxing day.
I called up XM and they made the switch from one unit to the other (for the service I had).

Today, I want to add my car to this new offer and they won't do it, saying that it's specifically for the old unit. Fine.
I just activated the old unit and it works fine but later this week, I'm going to call XM to have it switched to my car (GM Vehicle, XM Built-In) ... which they told me couldn't be done but through my reasoning, seems like it can. I'll update when I can.

XM called today to try and get me to resubscribe. They offered half price deal which came to 82 bucks......plus 12 for royalties and with taxes the total was 103 bucks. Pretty decent deal so I took it. Far better than the 119 plus fees and taxes a few weeks ago.

I cancelled my subscription 2 weeks ago....first it autorenewed to something crazy like 195 dollars. I called to say that I won't do that so cancel....then he lowered it to 119 plus tax. I didn't want to pay 119 plus tax so I cancelled. They emailed me a week later with a 5.99/month for 6 months deal so I reactivated.

My sub is up end of November and they just called with the $169 deal. Actually I thanked them for calling because I had forgotten my time was coming up and I was going to cancel becuase I was tired of the poor sound quality and commercials (my daughter likes the Disney channel). Oddly enough they left it at that.

From what I'm reading, there is a $5.99/mo deal for six months, then you have to call back and argue with them again.
