XP Home & Professional

The laptop I just bought comes with XP home and when i tried installing MS Powerpoint it gives me error : this operating system is not presently configured to run this application

so i decided I am going to switch to XP professional b/c thats what i have on my desktop and it has never given me any trouble before

Should I swtich? and if so, how do I go about doing it?
If not, how can i get Powerpoint on my laptop? :(

thanks in advance

There is no reason all office apps shouldnt work in XP home....

The only real differance between home and pro is that pro has more networking functionality...

MS PowerPoint doesn't come default with Windows. XP Home shouldn't be the problem...

2002 should work fine. Have you done a full virus scan / spyware scan lately? Make sure you updated all of the proper definitions first. That's the first place I would start.

Just ran a Power Point presentation in Montreal this weekend; my laptop has XP Home and MS Office 2003.
