Yaris Owners! RS or LE with package B
Hey guys/girls, just want to thank everyone for their help so far, but my family has decided that since we have hookups from Toyota and we loved the test drive, we are deciding on a Yaris. Now, the question is, LE or RS?
Looking at MSRP, the difference between the 2 cars is 23936 for RS and 21371 for LE (both with package B, after tax). The only difference remaining that I can tell are the bigger rims, side skirts, spoiler, fog lights that are on the RS..
is the RS worth the extra 2600? everything else is exactly the same...... so..
Please enlighten me, thanks guys/girls!

RS also has:
-60/40 split fold rear seats, that fold flat (LE's is a one piece)
-Gloss black center console (LE's is silver)
-Black door handle trim (LE's are whitish looking)
Whether or not all those additions are worth the price difference, is up to you. If you want a more sporty look/ride, go for the RS. If you want the most economical and basic transportation w/ standard creature comforts, go with the LE.
My brother has a 5-door LE and he loves it. Great little car.

are you sure? i think you may be confusing the Yaris with the Mini... the Cooper S has the center exhause tip.

If you really want it, take it...you don't want to regret afterwards...it's not like you can change your mind and exchange it...!!!

Newbie
Rs
have to recommend the RS version for sure...
i have a 2005 echo RS (I know, not as new, but...)
the upgraded seats alone are worth the money, they are very comfortable and supportive... the echo(and yaris) stock seats suck!

$23k for a Yaris?! You're kidding, right? Thought they were about $15k.

Makes me wonder why you wouldn't spring for a Corolla - they must be under 23K loaded?

The base 3-dr Yaris starts at $13,725.
The top of the line 5-door RS with the B package is $18,895 (add $1000 for auto). So, $18895 + $1090 Frt + PDI = $19985 + tax = $22782.90. That's where the ~$23K price comes from. People seem to forget that you have to pay the gov't and that the dealers like to gouge you on the nonsense PDI.
Compare this to the Corolla SE (basically a base model CE with power options, sunroof and 14" rims) which starts at $18,855 for the 5spd.
So, your choice is get the entry level Corolla or a top of the line Yaris... for people who like/need a hatch, it's a no brainer.
