Actually $108 with taxes and shipping. It was the same price as the orange. Good deal.

Doesn't the Umilk come with the aerocino or did you somehow buy the Umilk and they threw the aerocino in for free ? Damn, now I'm confusing myself.

Same! I wanted to give UMilk to parents, and get Maestria myself. The review is really horrid though!
How can they send a machine that doesn't work out of the box. Anyway, I already ordered it, might reject the parcel when it comes Tuesday... *still debating*
Anyone willing to provide vote of confidence on Maestria?

Got a umilk in black as a substitute for the orange one. Asked for credit equal to the amount of the shipping fee towards future purchase.

Got my maestria today... 3 espresso no worries works great. Reviews seem to bring up machines that do not work from day 1. If it was the case I am not too worried about getting a replacement. Nespresso is known for their customer service.

Watched a lot of youtube videos. I think umilk for me, suits my home life a bit more. I really like the automatic features in this machine (auto puncture / eject). Seems like a newer mechanism. Won't bother with Maestria, but dam it looks like a nice quality machine.Mayche wrote: ↑Same! I wanted to give UMilk to parents, and get Maestria myself. The review is really horrid though!

There is enough DOA reports in this thread alone to keep one away
Nespresso doesn't cover return shipping fees (its spelled clearly for the "return for refund within 14 days of purchase" and I guess "return for warranty" wont be any difference), so you are at risk from the very start.

I would call to ask rather than listen to his guesses. Not so hard...imo both are very different.aasoror wrote: ↑There is enough DOA reports in this thread alone to keep one away

Actually I went to their boutique today and asked whether or not I have to pay for shipping if mine arrived DOA and their rep said no.

My Maestria was DOA. I basically have to send it for repair, so I essentially paid for a refurbished coffee machine. To make up for the 2 hours lost trying to get it to work + time spent on the phone + dealing with this return, Nespresso is kindly giving me cups worth 20$. I guess my time is not worth that much after all.

Yup, it really does. And for being known for their Customer Service, I have to say my experience with them was anything but pleasant. I really liked the part where the "Machine Specialist" on the phone asked me if I tried running water through the pump yet, right after I told her I did so for 2 hours the night before. Or when I was told "I'm not a machine expert, you have to choose the option on the phone that directs you to a machine expert next time" "What option is that?" "I don't know, I never call Nespresso, I only work here".

You have had a very different experience than most ppl here. I mean lots of peeps complained about the umilk being oos and they have been given other options, colours, etc...hkhalil wrote: ↑Yup, it really does. I hope I won't have any issues. Or that at the very least if there is an issue I will be able to bring to the boutique for warranty exchange or repair.
Most complaints are about DOA so I think I'm in the clear.

Got in on the Maestria deal. No issues at all and the machine is absolutely gorgeous and makes really great foam. My issue with the Aeroccino+ and Aeroccino is that I can never get the foam hot enough and the foam that it does make tends to flatten pretty quickly. The steam wand takes a bit of practice but I can get really great results.
I have a few Nespresso machines and the Maestria is my favorite by far. It doesn't hurt that it looks fantastic.
