Yonge Lawrence Area Restaurants?

My friend and I want to go for lunch next weekend. I'm not familiar with the Yonge Lawrence (and north) area. I'm wondering what good non-Asian and non-fastfood restaurants are in this area. Thanks.

Lol. Is the food and place regular pub quality or better?

Thanks. I'll take a look at these. I guess this area isn't known for restaurants.

You're not too far off from Eglinton & Yonge, where you might have better selection.

Yeah it's not too far off, but I want to explore more north of that.

Scratch Kitchen - Closer to York Mills, good for brunch. All meats are cured and smoked in house, all breads baked in house
Stack - BBQ. Decent food for the area, not great compared to rest of TO

Places I haven't tried but want to:
Shoushin - New sushi restaurant, very high quality
Salt Cave - Grassfed organic meats
Bio-Cafe - Vegan Korean restaurant

Bakeries (good for post lunch dessert, or dessert for lunch):
Bobette and Belle
Rolling Pin

Thanks for the suggestion but I was hoping for places around Lawrence and north.

I've heard of Celestin though.

Miller Tavern on Yonge...closer to York Mills than Lawrence

Ah yes! And Auberge is in that area too. Hmmm, I'll look into that area more.

Auberge and Miller's Tavern is the only restaurant within 5min walk of York Mills. Nothing else.

Two italian options for to you consider (both North of Lawrence), and both having thrived for many many years in a tough business:

(1) Coppi Ristorante: it's the more expensive of the two. Their signature dish on dinner menu (not on lunch menu) is whole sea bass, salt encrusted and baked. Reviews in Open Table are very high, but on some other sites not quite as high.

(2) Parmigiano Trattoria. Reasonably priced, large poritons, and a favourite of local residents. Note none of the staff (owner, cook, main wait staff) are Italian anymore, but they seem to have tons of regular customers, whom the staff seem to know by name.

This might do! I'll suggest the second option to her, it looks good.
