York Region Cops and Texting Drivers

While I am rather sure this police force is not the only one in the country to come with innovative ways to catch those drivers that text and drive,

I must commend York Region for a rather elegant and cheap way of doing their job.

Being on a top of the CN Tower and using the binoculars/telescope does not count.

You know Toronto has been doing this for the last couple years and they are way more effective than York Region (less bus routes, transit in general.)

I thought there was a thread on this a few years ago. But good on the cops. The general public should be allowed to do this as well. Lady next to me this morning in stop and go traffic was on her phone for a good 2 mins before realising that traffic was moving. Wish I got the plate, but it was an mid 2000s volvo in beigeish.
