Aug 17th, 2006 08:26 AM #29Frosh week - orientation week is the same. YFS (the central student gov't is planning some events too along the moniker of York Week but that is the 1st or 2nd week of classes.

Bethune has a pretty good frosh week - the organizers are good and people have a great time - good rivalry with Stong and Calumet. As for academic orientation - pick and choose what you think you need help on. Go to the first session so you get to meet some key resource people. Use them. The staff person in Bethune recently won a York wide staff award for her dedicated service to students - she is great._______________

Aug 17th, 2006 08:28 AM #30Well, a bit of a caveat there -

Most cost you something - you buy either a frosh kit through your college (which is heavily subsidized so it is a great deal) and some colleges have individual tickets for events. Contact your college through email or phone._______________
