Pardon me but what does a shill thread mean? Like a scam?

No it's not a scam as it was fulfilled by Amazon so you'll either get the product or get a refund if you ordered it. New resellers pop up on Amazon every day and they know RFD is a great place to promote their products. They either create fake accounts themselves or recruit existing members to post deals for them.

Tell tale signs: bad spelling and grammar, member recently joined RFD, use of coupon code, and a low amount of reviews on Amazon.

There are other things we (RFD staff) can look for as well but I don't want to go into detail because that'll only improve their ability to spam their deals here.

On the note of Amazon/Chinese seller shilling, I've been suspecting a few long-time members doing such.

Not going to name names, but I observe a pattern from a few sellers.
The myth on the Internet is that Canadians are nice people. Those people who say this just haven't been on RFD.

Please do feel free to report specific posts, or if you'd rather, send @TomRFD a PM so he can investigate it in more detail.

The temptation of free stuff or money isn't limited to just the newbies. Like @WorldIRC said just report them or send them to me. We'll take a look and put a stop to it if we think it's shilling.
