My god, how much DVD media does a person need? I can only think of two things, backing up porn and pirating movies.

Hey, a lot of people make tons of money by doing that as a "profession".. LOL

BTW, Philips MID are CMC MAG M01.. I believe the same as the TDKs that were on sale at Costco.

I keep all my money and didn't bought anything. I saved a good 800$ by not getting unknown brand name stuff and false deal. Put all the money in bank and waiting for the real deal to come in February.

I also got great hours of sleep for free !

I didn't wake up early or anything. I went later in the morning. FutureShop was packed. It was like a reunion of sorts. I saw so many people I knew from a few years ago lol. Anyways, I didn't end up buying anything, but I know my brother bought one of those BenQ wireless keyboard/mouse combinations for $20.

Toronto
I was staying at my Mother-in-law's in Guelph over the Holiday, so this experience isn't based on any of the Toronto Stores I would normally go to.

10:00 Woke up, got cleaned up, dressed and had some coffee.
10:30 Headed to the Cambridge mall to check out HMV.
10:45 Checked out HMVs prices on a couple of boxes, wasn't impressed
11:00 Hit the Pioneer sportsworld Futureshop. Got the last 6 Maxell-25 DVD-R spindles
11:25 Hit the Fairview part Best buy. Picked up two Maxell 100 DVD-R spindles and a 200 Gigabyte hard drive. They still had lots of each. (For the extra 50 GB, I didn't even think about hassling for the MIR from Futureshop)
12:00 Dropped by XS Cargo and bought a cool dual alarm clock and also got a couple of cheap 5.8 Ghz phones. They seem to work quite well.

One thing that really bugged me, though, was that the regular price on the DVD boxsets at FS and BB was still cheaper than HMV's white sticket price minus 25% Come on!!!!

Overall, I'm glad I didn't get up early in the morning as I got everything (and then some) I was looking for.
