You're told by the doctor you may need a biopsy.

Went to the doctor about a couple lumps I found underneath my chin. He said it may just be lymph nodes, but if they dont disappear in 2 weeks to come back in for blood work and biopsy.

Takes the wind out of your sails thats for sure.

Maybe nothing to worry about, but still havent that said to you and the word cancer in the same sentence just doesnt make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Now to tell my wife tonight. Im at work and just kinda in a daze right now

I was told back in Wpg, about 10 years ago, that I had a very rare form of lukemia (suspected terminal as well). After 3 bone marrow tests, and 2 weeks of waiting, they realized they made an error and all it was was an allergic reaction to a post surgery medication.

It may be nothing since you are scaring yourself by thinking you are going to get cancer. My brother had some bumps on his neck. He went in to the doctor and the doctor said that it is most likely nothing but wanted to do a blood test just to be safe. The blood test came out all good and his lumps have magically disappear too. In the meantime my mom was totally freaked out over the results of the blood test. She would jump every time the phone would ring for the first week after the blood test.

Just tell your wife and talk it over together if it is bothering you a lot. All the best to you and let us know how things are going.

as long as the nodes are mobile everything should be fine. Have you had a cold recently? Any sort of viral infection will give you some lumps under your chin.

I had some lumps there too and had ultra sounds done as a precaution. It was nothing to worry about, it was just an infection that went away.
I'm surprised your doctor would make you worry like that. Why didnt he just tell you to come back and see him if it doesnt go away in 2 weeks.

No I havent. Ive been healthy for a long time now.

I thought at first they may just be pimples, but when they got bigger and bigger I gota bit worried

I wish we would of. When it comes to my health I alays get worried when something abnormal comes about.

Flus, colds, etc I can handle. But something unknown and new always gets the worry factor up
