Your highest Credit Card limit?

This came up several times in various discussions on various threads.. Some people believe that the highest limit on any Credit Card in Canada (not to be confused with Charge Cards such as various AmEx cards that do not have limits) is $50,000. It seems that this is not the case, so what's your highest limit on a credit card in Canada?

The highest limit that I know of is $66,600, so does anybody have more than $66,666.66 perhaps? :)

I have seen 200,000 on there own personal card (Worked at a bank). They had over $100,000+ on reward points. #Amazed.

I heard of that... Also when the guy wanted to buy a $200k boat... he was upset that he couldn't raise his $150k limit to $200k...

$100K+ in reward points sounds exactly like something that RFDers would want to have :) What bank and what cards were those? Having an MBNA 0% Balance Transfer card with $500K credit limit does not sound too bad at all :)

We have always kept refusing credit limit increases, so no idea what they would have ended up being.

My highest ever was 24k on a RBC Visa. Now it's 15k with Capital One. I don't think there is a hard cap on credit limits on credit cards in Canada. Any imposed limit should be purely artificial and can theoretically be circumvented. I'm sure rich people have access to much higher credit card limits than us regular joes.

Some banks keep offering (if you call in) credit limit increases without hard hits, in my case its RBC & CIBC that have allowed almost consistent increases every 6 months when I call in.

Waiting for someone to say infinity.
I play the video games H2, WC3. I bank with low fee or no fee banks like Implicity. If you got questions ask.
