Z5500

Are these speakers discontinued? I looked everywhere and no one seems to be selling them.

These things are like wine, their value appreciates over time, jeez. I bought these like three years ago for $250 or something.

It is funny how the use of the Z5500 can switch with time. In the past, I only used the digital inputs mostly. These days, the analog 5.1 input is what separate it apart from HTIBs.

You won't see a <$300 Z5500 street price too easily these days. But if your use is mainly movies, I'd recommend to stay away from the Z-5500. $300 can get you entry level home theater receiver no problem with contemporary features like HD audio decoding via HDMI.
