Zellers - HP LaserJet 1018 $49.99
I was at zellers today and noticed they finally dropped the price on the HP LaserJet 1018. It is a 12ppm laser, older model but for $49.99 who cares. Comes with a 1000page starter toner.

Good deal, good printer. 1000 pages on the starter cartridge will last an average home user (not student) a long time.

The way the price tag was on the shelf I would suspect its chain wide. I bought it from the simcoe/401 zellers in oshawa. There were 3 left.

$49.99 is a great price for a laser, it cost the same or even less than a replacement ink cartridge. Good timing, I was looking for a new printer, thanks for the find.

I have this printer works really well, but recently I have been having A LOT of spooler errors, i know it's not really the printer's fault. I have never had this problem with other printers, and it seems a lot of other people have been having spooler errors when using this printer.
There seems to be a lot of solutions, none of them really work that well, I found getting rid of Adobe PDF reader worked best.
Also do those filler kits work well? I have used them for inkjet printers and they get messy and wreck the printer._______________

I have a HP1012 (~4 years old) and a HP1020 (~3 years old), which is exactly the same as the HP1018.
HP1012 came with a full 12A cartridge and the HP1020 came with a starter cartridge. Both the toners are at the end of their life (developing streaks). How do you guys make the drum of the toner last longer then the default amount of toner inside? It seems that HP has timed the 'drum life' and the amount of 'toner left' perfectly.

my 1018 is probably about 2yrs old. Still using original toner. I would have no issues with recommending this printer. Zero issues. I keep it off all the time and it has a quick startup.
