Just make sure you charge it after 10pm. The grid is already overloaded here in Ont.

Zenn makes it's debut today! (in Quebec)
If they can allow bicycles and horse-drawn carriages on the road, why not a zenn?

Yup - not sure if they have peak and off-peak rates in the summer but I know that they used to in the winter based on temperature to discourage unnecessary electricity usage since a lot of ppl were using hydro to heat their place. Ontario's installed a lot of the smart meters but they still haven't activated many of them to charge the different rates based on peak periods (Ottawa).

Almost completely useless at that speed and range.
40km/h-inner city car? Why not just use a bicycle or walk instead of paying to park a full sized car five blocks over?
It's a start I guess, but I was hoping electrics would be better than this.

Enviro-hippies don't use A/C, do they?
j/k
You gotta think that's gonna be a 40kph/20km range car in the real world. More of an experimental vehicle rather than a useful production car.
On the bright side, Walmart will probably sell suitable replacement batteries in packs of 8.Last edited by RedRooster; Jul 16th, 2008 at 01:33 PM.

It can apparently be outfitted with A/C ($2K option) but it doesn't make mention of how far you can go with it on. Of course there's the Sunroof option as well.
I think it is currently marketed as a 3-season car town/city car because the batteries need to be insulated from the cold weather (which they currently aren't).
It's a start! (Think back to the hyundai pony - look how far they've come!

QUOTE=ES_Revenge;7109503]Plus I wonder what happens to that "60km" range once you're using A/C (if it has that) or heat (which has to be electric)--both of which require high current to operate.[/QUOTE]
