I'm looking to sign up on this plan. I'm currently with Rogers and am wondering about experiences porting over? What is the turnaround time for getting onto the zoomer network?
Usually 3 days if you live in major city.
Day 1: Sign up.
Day 2: Ship your phone + SIM card by overnight courier.
Day 3: Receive your phone + SIM card. Call to port your number to Zoomer.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
1x Chatr(Mobilicity) $30 plan, 1x 7-11 Speakout, 2x Koodo $28 plan, $0 FPL home phone
1x Zoomer $36 plan, 1x Zoomer $94.50 family plan for 3 numbers, 1x Zoomer $16.20 plan

Can someone help me out with the last steps of signing up?
Which step are you stuck on exactly?

Once you call to port your number, the port from Roger's to Zoomer should only take a few minutes

For the $50 referral bonus, I will have to find someone who is a current customer, then I sign up so both of us get $50 each?

How does one get a referral?

If I need two line would I get the referral for both?
Anyone with zoomer on a contract can refer you? After getting your first line you can refer yourself and get the bonus for second line.

Zoomer needs the free phone to bind you to a contract.
No free phone = No contract = month-to-month = no double minutes/data + extra 1GB data = ONLY 200 minutes + 500MB data

Nuts :( then this deal is not as hot as I thought. I thought it was $36/month with no strings attached. I want the option to easily leave in case a better deal occurs.

I signed up with Zoomer 2.5 years ago. It was the best plan with 400 minutes + 1GB data 2.5 years ago. Now, I am on the $36 loyalty plan for unlimited minutes + 2GB data. It is still the best plan on the market ATM. I asked myself 2.5 years. Is the 400 minutes + 1GB data meet my need? The answer was yes and I move my number from Koodo to Zoomer. The rest was history. Time really flies when I have plan which meets my need and saving money at the same time.

I committed to stay with Zoomer for 2 years. After 2 years, I was rewarded with unlimited minutes + 2GB data. Now, I have 4 numbers with Zoomer.

Just get the cheapest phone available and sell it, plus get a referral or two and you'll have enough to cover the cancellation fee.

If that is not possible for you, then Zoomer is not the right carrier for you. Good luck in your quest to find a better deal and keep us posted if something does come up.
Zooooooomer, just get it!
