I used a rogers locked iPhone 5s and it worked with ZOOMER. That's what I'm using now.

A bit off topic, but I'm wondering whether Zoomer will be able to unlock the Rogers locked iPhone after you have ported the tel #?

I switched 2 of my numbers from 2x$36 to loyalty $72 family plan earlier this month. I will be moving my Koodo number to Zoomer end of March with this $36 400 minutes + 2GB data plan. After 6 month, I am planning to move it to the $72 loyalty family plan at the third user for $22.5(10% off $25). Although I can get the GR5 for the $36 plan, but I will be getting a Samsung J1 or LG K4 because these 2 phone are for the $25 plan. If I get a phone for the $40 plan, I cannot move it the the family plan as the third user after 6 months. This is because Zoomer is still amortize the cost of the $250 phone for the remaining 18 months at the $40 plan rate.

I just got another idea while creating this post. If I get a GR5 for the Koodo number, after 6 months, I can assign the Koodo number as the second user of the family plan(value of $36 plan) and assign the current family plan second user as the third user(value of $25 plan - Since this number is out of contract). I will confirm this with Zoomer before moving the Koodo number over end of this month.
I'm not sure I understand how the $72 family plan works. How is it different from having 2 $36 plans in terms of minutes and data? I see the family plan only has 1gb data and 400 mins. Do they double the data to 2 gb and mins to 800 or is the loyalty family plan different?

After 6 months if the loyalty offer is still around, you get 1000min day time and 4GB of data shared. Phones are the Samsung J3 or the Huawei GR5.
Planning to port a family member end of the year and this loyalty plan (1000mins + 4GB) or better one would fit to our needs.
Decided to not to use J3 and hoping to sell to reduce the cost :)

The $72 family plan can have up to 4 users sharing the minutes and data. The first 2 users costs $72($80 - 10% off). The third and fourth user costs $22.5 each ($25 - 10% off)
Loyalty family plan has 1000 minutes + 4GB data.
Family plan with current promo = 600 minutes + 3GB data

Would current promo not be 800 mins? Website has family plan listed as 400 mins and 1gb. So double that plus bonus gb, no?

No, it's 600min on the family plan not 800min. It doesn't double, but the data does.

Home phone I don't believe is eligible for the referral program. Also I think to be eligible for the $50 referral it must be a new account that is activated.

Only more than half a month left for this unofficial $36 with 2GB plan available with bonus. I must say getting 2 bills from them with excellent customer service is such an amazing experiences.

You'll have to unlock your iPhone before you can use it on Zoomer. And, you should look for a referral before you order.

I activate with Zoomer get the Huawai GR5 and port my number over from Koodo and then I can insert the Zoomer sim card into my Iphone?? Zoomer does support Iphones right?

Thanks in advance!
Since your iPhone is already unlocked you should be good to go. If you want, you can sell the GR5 to further reduce your overall costs

It is a great plan. Just called and ordered with GR5. It is $36+tax. Unfortunately, I don't have a referral but it is still an excellent plan.

Zoomer will still process a referral even after you have signed up. Their Customer Service Reps are very helpful

This 400 min calculated for incoming and outgoing calles or just outgoing and incoming calls are free?

The 400 minutes are used towards incoming and outgoing calls that don't take place during the evening and weekend period.
