Call Zoomer to find out what they offer as no RFDer had reported that plan yet.
It may be just the double minutes/data and no extra.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $34 15GB, $11 250MB, 2x $5 50min/50text, $0 FPL home phone,
Fido $5 4GB plan with a free tablet.

I don't see why not. You can ask via chat. They are super helpful and knowledgible. But the $28.80 plan then would only be 200 minutes, unlimited text and 1.2gb/month. It would not come with free evenings and weekends. Also doubtful it comes with anything more than the LG F4NR. But may be a good plan if you're a light user.

timeoninternet wrote: Yes, the $45 with 4GB is very good loyalty plan. However just take advantage of the $100 bonus with free phone with this $36 plan first. Only 7 more business days left. Then later on you can switch to loyalty plan.
To get the $50 referral credit, does one have to give the name of a Zoomer customer?

TIA

You would need someone's name and account number. FYI your post may be deleted by mods as you are not allowed to publically ask for referrals. You may want to edit your post to avoid that :)

Spoke with rep via live chat, the 1gb bonus only applies to plans that are $40 and above, (including $36 one due to byod discount)

Yes, that's right. Just got this information also. Also noticed phone lines may be a little busier than normal. If anyone is looking to sign up for this plan, try activating through chat. Super easy and quick! You can also leave your number in an active chat session and someone can call you back.

You can also sign up now and ask the rep to delay shipping and activating your service until January 31st so you can make sure you get the $50 activation and $50 referral credits. This works well if you are currently on a prepaid plan or have a contract wrapping up so that you can add an extra week or so to your timeline without paying extra.

FungusAmongus wrote: So how is the Samsung J3? I'm really thinking about jumping on this deal since my current phone and plan are grossly outdated (I have Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 on Telus) which is starting to slow down. I hardly have any apps installed (except for WhatsApp and thescore.ca for my sports scores). I only use the default google suite apps for email, calendar and stuff and it's dog slow. I consider myself a light user so this plan sounds good for my usage patterns.

The Huawei GR5 has mixed reviews...basically they implemented some weird UI that seems odd?

Anyone on Zoomer in the Vancouver area? Any hidden BC taxes on your bill?
J3 seems as fast as my S5, I hoped into J3 because I wanted a physical home button.

There are no hidden fees and the reps are professional :)

Hmm... Any idea what the buy out fee for the J3 is?

Good question. J3 is not on Zoomer website. My guess is around $250 similar to the cost of GR5.

The J3 if I recall correctly had a lower buyout fee, about $150 I believe.

Anyone know how many referrals one can have? I know it used to be 2 per year but is this still the case?

Also, off topic but anyone else unable to log into their RFD account? I can't log into my old account and none of my email accounts are being accepted for the password reset.

Doesn't matter at all. I am in my 40s and they didn't bat an eye.

Age does not matter as sooner or later people will get old.
