What's the device balance?
P3a = $750, or $31.25 / month early termination
P3 = $1100, or $45.83 / month early termination

Thanks! but I have tried that before and the answer was no for both of my renewals

YMMV: I had 3 months left and kindly asked for the early renewal fee to be waived, quoting a competitor's (Koodo) offer for the same plan and phone at the same price. I told them my LG G4 that I got from them was dying badly and needs a replacement. After CSR talked to supervisor, I was able to get it waived.
Doesn't hurt to try, good luck!

That Pixel 3a price is $200 more than the official Google Store pricing and $350 extra for Pixel 3

Sorry for being off topic but anyone else experiencing random reboot issues with their Zoomer LG5?

Several weeks ago my phone started draining super fast (died overnight). I contacted LG and they sent me a new battery but haven't installed it yet because the drainage issue stabilized before I got the replacement battery. I assumed an app could have been the cause and some update fixed the issue. Now I wonder if the battery could be causing the reboot issue. Before I try the new battery, was just curious to know if others have similar issues.

My parents are both on simply connect or zoomed or whatever you call it, LG G4’s are both dying. Definitely keeping the $40 price point wonder if the pixel3a would be decent. Too bad it’s not a bit cheaper though

So with the loyalty option after 6 months I can just ask to upgrade my plan to one of them and not increase the term?

That right.
You're only obligated to finish up the original term to pay off the phone subsidy.

With the OnePlus not officially releasing the non-pro in Canada and the Zenfone 6 still not released, I might get that Pixel 3a. I've been eyeing it as a 3rd option and with the discounted price, it might be worth the 2 year commitment.

I've jumped from Zoomer to Koodo to Public in less than 2 years and got better deals every time. I won't lock myself into contracts with inflated device balance ever again.

I recently re-upped on a 2 year deal a few months back for a new phone because my wife needed one, anyone have any advice on how to go about this because I was looking to get the P3A

is my only option to buy it outright?

I am in the same boat, I just missed the 3a deal. The only way to get it now is to pay off your device balance in your current phone

The lg g4 battery sucks. Time for a change......
Good thing the G4 battery is removable and cheap to replace on eBay (if you're talking about battery degradation). Overall battery life can also be vastly improved by rooting and flashing Android N, But that's a while other story. As great as the rooted G4 is, at this point you're probably due for a new phone.
