is the promo still on? Was going to refer someone to it but don't see it...
Just confirmed today, the promo still on, apparently rep say on till end of March.
Just got the $36/month for 4 gig with 400 minutes and unlimited text. Also in 6 month i can move to Royalty plan. with unlimited minutes.
I got $50 refer credit for each accounts (2 lines - 1 line per account). In order to get $50 referral you have to setup separate accounts for the lines.
Thanks OP.

how much is this better than the $36 plan?
It's just to get a higher tiered phone, on the $36 plan, best would be the LG G5 IMO, Galaxy A5 would extra or you can sign up for the $40.5 plan, it's not as good spec wise but longer battery life, better screen under the sun and water/dust proof

I thought the LG Q6 would be a better phone than the LG G5 (of the two $0.- phones with the $36.- plan)
Zoomer certainly assigns a much higher value to the Q6 than to the G5

The Q6 is an entry level/mid range phone, the G5 was a flagship from a few years back. The only way to tell is to do a side-by-side comparison using full model numbers (as different markets will have different specs for the same "G5")

The G5 is better than the Q6 by all measures. The G5 has a rear camera with OIS and much wider aperture. The SD820 CPU although a real hand warmer when it comes to power usage is way faster than the SD435 which is entry level. Some people like the option of having a removable battery which the G5 has. I would imagine the G5 could fetch $150 whereas personally I would not pay $100 for the Q6.
Koodo $40/6GB
Public Mobile 2016 fall promo, $23/1GB, $38/5GB
Fido $7.50/3GB+tablet
Rogers $25 500U home internet

Thanks...
The value assigned by Zoomers to these two phones would cause one to assume that the Q6 is the better phone, but you're right - just comparing specs the G5 is better than the Q6 in every aspect. The only area where the G5 is lacking is that it has no microSD slot even though Zoomers claims the 32GB memory is expandable.

oh wow the G5 is a lot better than the Q6, despite coming out 1.5 years earlier.

So what are the better phone I can get with the $40 plan? And what other choices do I get with the $36 plan?

The value that Zoomer places on their phones is arbitrary and on the extremely high side. If they were worth half of what they assigned, you would be getting a good deal.

Started my Zoomer Wireless experience yesterday. Decided to go with a regular $40-10% plan due to wife's Note 3 came from Rogers a few years ago.
The number is porting from Freedom to Zoomer. The process took probably 2-3 hours. Very smooth process.

I would wait for 6 month and then ask about a loyalty plan. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Signed again for a 2 year term with the extra 2 gigs of data. Going with the LG G5 phone after 2 years of pain with the Huawei GR5. Never a problem with Zoomer so another 2 year term was a no brainer.

The GR5 is not that bad after you unlock the bootloader (like $5 using dc-unlocker as Huawei stop providing unlock code) and flash a custom recovery and LineageOS on it, 15.1 was made available recently as well (Oreo 8.1)

How to sign up with Zoomers $36.- plan without a credit score?
Anyone successful in doing that?

Situation is that the potential Zoomer'sd customer, who is 40 years old, apparently doesn't have a credit report at since he never applied for credit anywhere.
Hard to believe, but true.
The Zoomer's rep had no idea what to do, so things are on hold now trying to open an account.

I know on my credit report, a lot of "credit" I get does not show up - Bell for instance, Hydro, I don't think Zoomers shows up either.
All that shows up are credit cards, LOC and a mortgage - so if one never needed one of those - no credit report.
So what does one do then?

I think Zoomer will ask for deposit IIRC.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Koodo $30 plan, PM $38 5GB plan, PM $8 plan to replace Speakout,
Zoomer loyalty family plan for 4 lines $117/6GB, $0 FPL home phone
